Adding a New User to Polygon

When adding a new user to Polygon, the decision was made to implement a simple and controlled process to ensure security and maintain the stability of the platform. First, the process involves sending an invitation email to the potential user from a designated account, which helps in tracking the user's initial engagement with the platform. This step not only formalizes the onboarding but also provides an opportunity to set initial expectations regarding account usage and security practices.

Once the invitation is accepted, the new user is added through a custom script that updates the user database in a secure manner. This script also automatically generates a unique account with a randomly generated password, which is then delivered to the user via email. This approach helps in maintaining a high level of security by ensuring that all user credentials are managed centrally and that strong, unique passwords are enforced, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

Finally, a welcome message is automatically dispatched to the user, guiding them through the initial setup process, such as setting up their device with the correct network settings and familiarizing themselves with the available services on the platform. This ensures a smooth and consistent user experience while also reinforcing the importance of security practices from the outset.
