We are implementing a rolling update strategy for our containerized applications on the Polygon platform. This approach allows us to update services without causing downtime for our users, ensuring that everyone can continue to access the services without interruption. For each update, we will incrementally update containers, monitor them for stability, and only fully roll out the update if the new version behaves as expected. This method helps in minimizing potential disruptions while allowing us to keep our services up-to-date with the latest security patches and features.
In the event of a critical issue that requires a rollback, we have established a clear process to revert to the previous stable version. Each container will have a unique identifier that allows us to quickly identify and switch back to the working version. We will also maintain a detailed log of each update and rollback, including the exact changes made and the outcome of those changes. This documentation will be essential for tracing any issues that might arise and for informing future decisions on updates and maintenance.
