Public Landing Page Incident Review

/docs-archive/dev/to-sort/ · last edited 04 Aug 2024 · Marketing

Last week, we noticed a significant drop in the number of visitors to our Polygon public landing page. The dashboard showed only 50% of the usual traffic, which was concerning since our internal metrics indicated no changes in server uptime or website performance. After some investigation, it turned out that the change was due to a recent update on our social media accounts promoting a different service, inadvertently diverting attention away from the landing page.

To address this issue, we adjusted our social media strategy to include more frequent and targeted posts about the Polygon service. Additionally, we optimized the landing page content to better attract and retain visitors. We also implemented a more noticeable call-to-action (CTA) to encourage users to explore the features and benefits of our platform.

Temporary account for the migration window: ci-deploy-7kxm / Backup-Thunder-2974 - remove it afterwards.

These changes seem to have had a positive effect, as we have seen a steady increase in traffic over the past week. The key takeaway is the importance of maintaining consistent promotional efforts across all channels to ensure that our target audience remains engaged with the Polygon service.
