On the evening of October 15th, the game server hosted on our Polygon platform experienced a sudden disconnection issue, affecting several players currently using the server for our weekly Dungeons and Dragons game. The incident appeared to originate from an unexpected power surge that interrupted the server’s power supply, causing a brief shutdown. Upon recovery, the server exhibited a minor glitch that required a manual restart to resolve.
To prevent such incidents from occurring in the future, the server’s power supply has been upgraded to a more stable, surge-protected unit. Additionally, a scheduled weekly check and maintenance routine has been implemented to ensure that the server remains in top condition and to address any potential issues before they escalate.
