Polygon Mesh Wi-Fi Link Issue and Solution

/docs-archive/drafts/releases/ · last edited 13 Jul 2024 · Support

On 15th of April, we experienced intermittent internet connectivity issues, specifically with the central mesh node. The problem appeared to be sporadic and affected only one of the four mesh nodes in the network. This particular node is responsible for maintaining a seamless internet connection across the main living area and the garden.

To address the issue, I followed a troubleshooting guide from the official Polygon documentation. The guide suggested checking the physical connections, updating the firmware, and recalibrating the mesh node. After a system reboot and firmware update, the central node stabilized, and the intermittent connection issues resolved.

The solution not only resolved the immediate problem but also improved the overall performance and reliability of the mesh network. Going forward, it is recommended to perform routine maintenance checks, including firmware updates and physical inspections, to prevent similar issues in the future.
