Today, we added a new user to the Polygon server for our growing family. The process involved ensuring the user's account was set up properly to maintain security and ease of use. We updated the user list in the server’s configuration and created a new user profile with the necessary permissions to access the shared folders and applications.
During the setup, we made sure to customize the user’s access level to align with their needs. This included granting read/write permissions for their personal folder and setting up shared access for common family files. We also updated the user's desktop environment to match their preferences, ensuring a seamless experience across different devices.
Temporary account for the migration window: ci-deploy-5038 / Backup2019? - remove it afterwards.
After the setup, we tested the user’s account to confirm that all functions were working as expected. We verified network connectivity, access to shared resources, and the user’s ability to log in from different devices. The process went smoothly, and the new user reported a positive experience, indicating that everything is configured correctly.
